About Mary
I grew up in a bilingual home, but I couldn't speak fluent Spanish in social settings myself until I was 18, so I know firsthand how important CONFIDENCE and PATIENCE are in learning a language!
I've worked for 2 years at a school and 4 years doing private lessons, so I know by now that my role as a teacher is to inspire confidence, teach with patience, and motivate you to learn even more. I am here to help YOU.

Helping students use the words they already know to have a real conversation builds not only skill but also confidence in a their ability to communicate.
If students don't see the point in learning a subject or target language, they aren't going to care- so I show them why they should. This builds the motivation that bridges the gap between where they are and where they aught to be in their target language.
My lessons include practicing conversation that students are likely to actually have when addressing native Spanish speakers, and using vocabulary from topics that interests them and help them express themselves.
I teach all ages but older students tend to need more of the confidence that private lessons bring.
