About Kenneth
I have been researching industry-standard technologies, frameworks and techniques for over a decade.
My proficiency in administration, defense and exploitation of systems, as well as programming/scripting have been cultivated through years of hands-on experimentation and devoted study.
I first found my passion for cybersecurity in 2014, starting out by building small web applications in my home lab environment and learning how to exploit OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities. I am continuously honing my skills, learning how to configure, harden, and evade/exploit industry standard technologies such as Active Directory, SIEM/OSSIM, SOAR, AV, EDR, Web Applications, and various types of servers.
I spend most of my free time off work:
- implementing new controls or services in my current lab
- practicing my exploitation skills in niche areas such as embedded systems and virtualized ICS/SCADA networks
- Staying up to date on the latest threats
- Doing CTFs on platforms such as Vulnhub and HackTheBox

In my lessons, I break down complex concepts and deliver the valuable information in a digestible manner to people of all levels. I am adept at making regular use of analogies, diagrams and hands-on exercises to help foster the learning process.
I decide how to tailor my teaching style by asking probing questions and getting to know who you are and your motivations for wanting to learn cybersecurity. Collaboration and effective communication are the fundamental building blocks for how each lesson is constructed.
