About Bradley
I have been speaking French since 2007 and now have a C2 native level of fluency and a native speaker’s accent. I lived in Paris where I studied French Linguistics and Anthropology at La Sorbonne and my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago focused on bilingual education and French Literature.
My work as a program coordinator with a French international education company put my in daily contact with French natives with whom I used a professional level of French. My work also required that I maneuver a multitude of nuanced cultural information to successfully communicate with my clients.
I am a registered proctor for the European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages (ECL) French Language proficiency exam through the University of Pécs' Foreign Language Center. This certification allows to accurately and officially assess your speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities in the French language.
I also received a Master’s Degree in French language and International Business Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I focused on using the French language in a professional and global setting. This, paired with my previous experience, puts me in the qualified position to tutor on all aspects of French language and culture, from professional business interactions to casual encounters with friends.

After 8 years of having learned French at school, I arrived in Paris to study abroad and realized I was struggling to communicate and understand. I actually gave an entire 10-minute presentation and used the word for "butthole" rather than "neck." I've got some skin in the game.
My tutoring therefore focuses on using real life, current French-language articles and videos to demonstrate grammar points so you can read, write, speak, and listen to authentic French (rather than slightly awkward 'school' French).
I give lessons to intermediate & advanced students of French and specialize in accent reduction/pronunciation, business French (business language and intercultural knowledge), as well as French language skills related to living/working/traveling abroad in France.
By using interesting, current language sources to demonstrate grammar and other technical language points, you will be able to apply reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills immediately and use the covered vocabulary and grammar !
