With over 20 years of post-secondary teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor, I have developed extensive expertise in teaching mathematics and engineering mathematics while promoting student success through engaging, student-centered instruction. I have taught courses including Mathematical Foundations, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Engineering Statistics, Numerical Methods, and Machine Learning and Statistical Analysis using Python. My teaching approach emphasizes conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving, supported by effective curriculum design, measurable learning outcomes, diverse assessment strategies, and the use of D2L to enhance student engagement and academic achievement.

About the lesson

I am writing to express my interest in the Mathematics Instructor position. With over 20 years of post-secondary teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, I bring extensive expertise in teaching mathematics and engineering mathematics at the college and university level. My academic background, combined with a strong focus on student-centered learning, has enabled me to support students in developing strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative reasoning skills essential for success in STEM disciplines.
Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of mathematics courses, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Engineering Statistics, Numerical Methods, and Mathematical Foundations, as well as applied courses involving mathematical modeling and computational methods using Python and MATLAB
