About Kian
I’m a singing tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater Voice. I provide personalized lessons tailored to students of all levels—from school-aged beginners to college students and adult professionals. My teaching covers a range of styles, including classical, pop, movie songs, and folk music. I focus on building strong skills in ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory, all while helping students gain vocal confidence. My teaching approach for singers in church ensembles and crossover artists focuses on mastering multiple genres like classical, pop, and jazz. This way, they can confidently switch between styles without losing vocal health or authenticity.
For church ensemble players, the emphasis is on blending, breath control, and emotional connection to worship music. For crossover artists, we focus on versatility—developing vocal agility and dynamic control to navigate diverse musical landscapes. Both personas benefit from exploring phrasing and stylistic nuances that bring their performances to life. This personalized training strengthens their musicality and stage presence.
To track progress, I integrate modern technology like digital audio workstations (DAWs), metronomes, and pitch training apps. These tools allow real-time feedback and make practice engaging and measurable. Regular recording and review sessions help students hear their improvements and identify areas for growth.
