About Corbin
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience helping students of all abilities discover the joy of music. Holding a **Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar)**, I combine a strong musical foundation with training in music therapy and special education principles. My approach is adaptive and student-centered, focusing on each learner’s unique strengths rather than their challenges. I have worked extensively with students navigating ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety, creating lessons that are accessible, structured, and stress-free. By breaking concepts into manageable steps and using creative, hands-on strategies, I help students stay engaged and motivated. I believe in building confidence through small, meaningful achievements, so every student feels proud of their progress. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or refining advanced techniques, I tailor lessons to meet you where you are. My sessions explore technique, expression, and even performance readiness, encouraging students to grow both as musicians and individuals. Above all, I believe music should feel empowering and inclusive. Every learner has the potential to shine—and I’m here to help you find your voice through the guitar.

My teaching approach is designed to make learning guitar enjoyable, structured, and meaningful. I focus on building a strong foundation in technique while encouraging creativity and personal expression. Lessons cover everything from correct body posture to finger independence, helping students avoid strain and play with ease. I also guide learners in mental preparation, which is essential for confident performances and a calm mindset before auditions or recitals.
Every student has their own style, and I help them refine it—whether they’re drawn to smooth fingerstyle melodies or powerful, energetic riffs. I introduce exercises that improve coordination, hand strength, and timing, ensuring steady progress without overwhelming them. We also work on stage readiness, from handling performance nerves to presenting themselves with confidence.
For those wanting to pursue music seriously, I create pathways toward auditions, recitals, and even professional opportunities. I make sure each lesson is interactive, supportive, and goal-oriented. Above all, I aim to ignite a passion for guitar that lasts a lifetime.
