About Ethan

I am a dedicated Piano tutor with 14 years of experience, specializing in teaching school to college students. My approach is focused on making learning engaging, fun, and tailored to each student's unique needs. I believe in fostering a strong foundation in piano technique while encouraging creativity and musical expression. My lessons are designed to be flexible, allowing students to progress at their own pace while ensuring they develop a deep understanding of music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills. In addition to traditional methods, I incorporate innovative teaching strategies such as using real-world musical examples, interactive software, and multimedia tools to keep students motivated and help them grasp complex concepts. I emphasize the importance of understanding the cultural and historical context of music, which enhances students' overall appreciation and performance skills. Whether students are interested in classical, jazz, pop, or other genres, I adapt my teaching to suit their musical tastes, making every lesson both relevant and enjoyable. My goal is not just to teach students how to play piano, but to inspire them to connect with music on a deeper level and become confident, expressive musicians.
