About Sarah
Hi! I'm Sarah! I graduated summa cum laude from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Painting in 2021. I've exhibited internationally and nationally, including MINI/MIRO at Manifest Gallery and the Yellowstone Art Auction 52. My current artistic interest is in examining Western death culture through the lenses of ornamentation and superstition with the hope of spreading death positivity throughout the world. I work in a variety of media, including oil and acrylic painting, time-based media, and sculpture. I am currently a teaching partner at the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center in Ocean Springs, MS, as well as at the Pascagoula Senior Center in Pascagoula, MS.

My teaching philosophy is centered around the idea that perfection and innate talent in art do not exist. I never want any student to feel pressured to achieve a "perfect" piece or to perform in any specific way. The main goal of our sessions is to have fun and unlock your creativity!
-Lessons are structured around your starting skill-level and any specific skills that you want to learn or improve on.
-I can also provide professional development and community for working artists!
-I am versed in a wide range of art techniques and media, including acrylic, oil, watercolor, gouache, ink, and dry media.
-Sessions held virtually, at the home of the client, or at an agreed-upon secondary location.
