About Shantanu
Hi, I'm Shantanu!
I'm a software engineer based in Bangalore with 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production systems. I currently work on an enterprise platform at Lowe's India, and earlier I worked at TCS on products used by businesses across the country. I also completed an internship at JPMorgan Chase, where I got an early look at how large engineering teams work.
My day-to-day work is in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and event-driven systems, so what I teach comes from real use, not just textbooks. I know what employers look for, because I write, review, and ship code every week.
Why you can trust me with your learning
Real industry experience at well-known companies, not just theory
I am patient and never rush you. Every question is a good question
I explain things in plain language, with examples you can relate to
I give honest feedback, so you always know where you stand and what to improve next
I am punctual, prepared for every class, and respectful of your time
My promise to you
Whether you are writing your first line of code or preparing for a tough technical interview, you will leave each class understanding something new and feeling more confident. I would love to help you get there.
Looking forward to meeting you!

I'm a working software engineer with 5+ years of experience building production systems, and I teach the way I wish I had been taught: by building real things. Instead of memorizing syntax, you learn why a concept exists, where it is used in real projects, and how to apply it yourself.
Teaching techniques and methods
Concepts are explained with simple analogies first, then shown in code
Hands-on practice in every class: you write the code, I guide you
Small projects that grow over time, such as a library system, a REST API, or a data tracker
For SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB), you work on realistic datasets and learn to design schemas and write efficient queries
Mistakes are treated as part of learning, and we debug together so you learn to fix problems on your own
Structure of a typical class
Quick recap of the last session and any doubts (10 minutes)
New concept explained with examples (20 minutes)
Guided practice and live coding (25 minutes)
Short exercise to complete before the next class (5 minutes)
Classes run on your pace and schedule, and the plan is tailored to your goal.
What makes my classes special
Industry perspective: you learn how code is written, reviewed, and maintained at work, not just how to pass an exam
Interview preparation, including common coding questions, database questions, and mock interviews
A custom learning plan built around your level and target
Clear written notes and practice problems after each class
Who my classes are for
Beginners starting programming from scratch
College students who need help with coursework, projects, or placement preparation
Career switchers and working professionals who want to learn Java, Python, SQL, or MongoDB
