About Melissa
A high school teacher turned stay-at-home-mom, I learned to love reading and writing in my 10 years of homeschool education. My dad used a green pen to circle countless extraneous commas until it clicked, which explains quite a bit of my positive teaching style.
I was a National Merit Scholar in high school, and graduated college with highest honors. My favorite ELA focus to tutor students in is reading comprehension. Reading goes from miserable to magical when you understand as you read.
Oh, and I wrote this without AI.
