About Aleksa
I am punctual, patient, and easygoing yet professional.
I developed a huge love for the English language when I was 3, and all my work has been in English. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, and I consider it an honor to help people learn and make brighter futures for themselves.
I hold the TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) certificates, and I worked as an online ESL teacher for over 5 years (+ more in person). During this time, I've helped hundreds of students improve their proficiency with the language.
I've also been a creative writer for 15 years, out of which I've spent 3 in American and British marketing agencies.

I am willing to teach anyone who wants to learn!
Every lesson is tailored to each student, but I focus on vocabulary because it improves communication the most.
If you have wishes about what you want to work on the most, something you need help preparing for, or specific material you'd like to use, we'll prioritize that unless I can give a better recommendation you agree with.
If you don't want to target any particular area, we'll move forward based on your level. Over time, we will fine-tune the lessons according to your strengths and weaknesses.
I always aim to teach in a highly engaging way, and make sure all my classes have creativity and clear continuity.
I point out major errors right away, but keep feedback about smaller issues for later to not break the flow or lower students' confidence. If you prefer all mistakes to be pointed out as soon as they happen, let me know!
