About Mya
I have been working as an editor and writer for 17 years now, contributing to counter culture media start-ups under various pseudonyms. I have also worked in the film industry, for major comic book publishers and privately contract with new talent that goes on to become international best selling authors and award winners. I also specialize in writing for market and technical writing.
I have in-depth experience working with learning disabilities and other developmental conditions. I began offering instruction nearly 11 years ago and have helped hundreds of students achieve better grades, get that job, and find literary agents. I greatly benefited from guidance when I started out, and I am deeply grateful that I can pass on what I have learned.

I believe cognitive ability is circumstantial and that students who need help simply have not been accommodated correctly by their school environment. I combine scientific and compassionate approaches to teaching, applying a student's sensory learning modality to their education. For this I have the student or a parent answer a questionnaire and undergo a short sensory assessment.
