About Sally
My name is Sally Verklan and I have been a teacher for the past ten years. I have been teaching high school English and history as well as tutoring to help students be successful in their classes and their standardized tests such as SAT and ACT and AP exams.
While I have been in the classroom for ten years, I have spent many more years tutoring for friends, neighbors, etc. I am confident in my subject areas and have had multiple students be successful in their classes and tests after working with them.

I have been in public education for the past ten years as an English and history teacher. Not only have I been planning engaging and rigorous lessons for my students in the classroom, but have also been working one-on-one with students in a tutoring setting to help them be successful in their classes, AP exams, and SAT/ACT tests.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. While I predominantly work with high school students, I have also worked with middle schoolers to help them with basic English grammar and writing as well as homework and study skills help.
