About Christianah

Hello! I'm Christianah, a passionate and results-driven educator with over 10 years of experience teaching and mentoring students in Mathematics, Science, Coding, and Writing across K-12 and beyond. I hold a Postgraduate Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, and I've also worked in the tech industry for over 5 years, giving me a solid foundation to bridge academic learning with real-world application. Whether you're a parent seeking a patient and engaging tutor for your child, a high school student preparing for advanced coursework, or an adult learner transitioning into tech, I'm here to support your journey. I take pride in creating a safe, encouraging, and structured learning environment, tailored to each student’s pace and style. My teaching is guided by three core values: clarity, consistency, and connection. You can count on me to show up fully prepared, communicate clearly, and genuinely care about your growth. Many of my students describe my sessions as motivating, interactive, and empowering—and I believe learning should feel that way! I am committed to excellence and professionalism in every session, and I strive not only to teach concepts, but to build confidence, spark curiosity, and help learners develop the tools they need to succeed independently. Your success is my goal!

About My Teaching Approach
With a Postgraduate Degree in Education, a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, and over 5 years of professional industry experience, I bring a practical and student-focused approach to tutoring. I specialize in helping learners truly understand coding and IT concepts—not just memorize them.

My Teaching Methodology
My sessions are designed to be interactive, personalized, and goal-oriented. I use a variety of strategies depending on the student's level, learning style, and objectives, including:
Scaffolded instruction to break down complex topics

Real-life coding examples and industry-relevant tasks

Project-based learning to build critical thinking and application skills

Frequent formative assessments and feedback to monitor growth

I also make use of digital tools, visual aids, and live coding exercises to enhance comprehension and engagement.

A Typical Lesson Plan
Each session usually includes:
Warm-up/Recap (5 mins) – Review of previous topic or a mini coding challenge

New Concept Introduction (15–20 mins) – Explanation with examples

Guided Practice (20–25 mins) – Hands-on coding or exercises together

Independent Application (10–15 mins) – Student tries similar problems or a project

Summary & Homework/Next Steps (5–10 mins) – Review key points, address questions

Lessons are always interactive, student-paced, and adjusted as needed.

What Sets Me Apart
Over a decade of combined teaching and industry experience

A strong blend of academic knowledge and practical tech skills

A passion for helping students of all levels feel confident and capable

Experience teaching young learners, teens, university students, and adult beginners

Mentorship in career paths, project building, and tech interview preparation

Who My Lessons Are For
K-12 students looking for support in coding, math, or STEM subjects

Postsecondary students studying computer science, cybersecurity, or IT

Career switchers and adult learners exploring tech for the first time

Learners preparing for certifications, tech interviews, or personal projects

Ready to learn in a way that makes sense to you? Let’s clock in together!
