About Julie
"Holding a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Imperial College London, I apply rigorous logic to every chess move. My 11 years of experience allow me to break down board vision and piece coordination into digestible technical components for intermediate players and beginners.
I have guided 191 students to better results, teaching them how to maintain a competitive mindset during high-pressure games. My methodology relies on clear pattern recognition to simplify complex board states. I enjoy working with rated juniors and tournament players who seek a deeper understanding of endgame technique and opening principles. You will find that my analytical background makes the game feel less like guessing and more like a precise system of choices.
My goal is to equip you with the mental tools required for long-term consistency. Happy to help you sharpen your play as we progress."

"Visualising the board as a grid of probability helps me strip away the mystery of your opponent's intentions. I use my Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics to frame opening repertoire building and game analysis through a technical, curiosity-driven lens. Each session incorporates a study plan tracked week to week so you always see your growth. We prioritise the fundamentals that win matches.
Think carefully. This systematic approach transforms your game. I monitor how you handle piece coordination during the transition from the opening to the middlegame.
We ensure your knowledge remains practical and ready for competition. I look forward to our next move together."
