About David

Hello! My name is David. I have been tutoring and teaching math at all levels for over 20 years. I earned my bachelor's degree in mathematics from California State University, Northridge, and my MEd from Louisiana State University Shreveport. I am passionate about helping all students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and achieve success in math. I have taught all levels of math, with particular expertise in AP Precal, Math Analysis, and Calculus.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is simple. With the right support, instruction, and encouragement, every student can succeed in math. I identify gaps in a student's understanding and provide targeted instruction to close them. By strengthening foundational skills and building a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, students develop the tools they need for long-term success. I have extensive experience tutoring in both small group and individual settings. I tailor my approach to each student's learning style, pace, and goals, breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps and helping develop problem-solving strategies.

Whether a student needs help mastering the fundamentals, improving classroom performance, preparing for an exam, or tackling advanced mathematics, my goal is to make math understandable, build confidence, and empower students to reach their full potential.
