About Carissa
I am an artist (photography, video, installation) who recently graduated from Pepperdine University. After graduating, I got my YTT in Topanga, CA with Amba Movement Embodiment Training School. Then I traveled to India where I completed an artist residency and explored meditation and yoga. I am now back in LA, where I continue to study yoga with Meghan Morris of Amba Movement, pursue art, and teach.

My teaching philosophy is to work with you and your body! Your body is calling to be listened to and I guide you to be there with it. I utilize the elemental energies in our movement forms and breathing practices, learning how to feel and access the energies of earth, fire, wind, air, and ether. It is my goal to open you up into a whole new experience of yourself and feeling your body. I primarily teach women and femme identified folks as I work with the feminine energy in my classes and also like to provide women with a safe space to move and feel! However, couples and privates with men are available. In my class, I take you through a magical journey of experiencing your own energy, emphasize what feels good, incorporate dance/free movement and include a long lying down meditation at the end (if your time permits). It is my goal to get you feeling inside so that you may you know more deeply who you are, what your intuition is telling you, and what you need. It is my hope my classes provides your soul with true nourishment.

I charge 5$ if I have to drive 45 min or more to get to your home and 10$ if I drive 90 min or more to get to your home (will be decided beforehand based on projected traffic times etc.)
