About Emily
Emily is patient, kind, and informed. She loves helping people of all ages improve their communication skills by improving their reading and writing. She is experienced with academic writing (homework help, essays, research papers...), creative writing (short stories, novels, personal expression, content creation...), healing writing (journaling, automatic writing, writing about thought-provoking questions...), and songwriting (lyrics, melodies, chords...). She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has taken many classes towards a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Health studies. She is also self-educated on many topics and highly appreciates the ability to read well and be constantly learning. She has been consistently writing songs for about 10 years and puts a lot of intention into crafting her lyrics. She has personally seen the healing power of taking inner thoughts in the mind, and bringing them out into words. This helps the thoughts be seen more clearly, even by the person themselves. Also, if this creative expression is shared with others, it can bring a sense of connection and deeper understanding. She has always been a "bookworm" and loves to read about topics such as health, nature, technology, and cross-cultural spiritual studies. She loves working with people one-on-one to personalize lessons to their unique needs and create an environment that feels safe for learning and exploration.
