About Stéphanie
Bonjour and welcome to your French class!
My name is Stéphanie and I am a professional French tutor and French content writer and translator between English and French.
I have worked teaching French classes for a number of years and I have been giving both French and English grinds. I have worked with children and adults, around various language registers from formal to casual styles, going through school book exercises ahead of tests and exams when required. Every year I accompany Leaving cert students as they set for their exam preps journey.
These classes embody an original approach facilitated through a dynamic interactive unfolding where the student plays an active part in the lesson.
Each lesson is designed for the student specifically.
Together with the students of French we will make steady progress as we work around their needs and learning aims.
I have also been helping students preparing for their DELF exams and language tests as part of their EU job application.
Your French class is unique and aims to practising the French language in a natural and relaxed way.
My background is diverse as I have been working in several professions, namely translation, content writing and reviewing, childcare, travel agent, language grinds and conversation classes, international trade, university administration in Trinity College, with dance schools, youth centres and health centres.
I have lived and worked internationally and I am always involved in cultural exchanges.
My academic studies: marketing degree, BA in Foreign Literature and Civilisations (English Studies), MA in Translation Studies, Diplôme de compétences en langues from the French rectorate. PBT instructor.

Beginners, intermediate, advanced fluent French speakers. These are lessons for all levels. Leaving cert, junior cert students and everybody on their French learning journey.
Chers amis francophiles, soyez les bienvenus à votre cours particulier de français.
Welcome to your French class. It is designed especially for you. Bonjour à tous, et bienvenue à votre cours de français fait sur mesure rien que pour vous. You will be learning French at your pace so you can converse with native speakers with ease and feel more confident as you communicate orally or in writing.
Learn how to speak like a local from the comfort of your home, and if you are already fluent, put your French hat on and let's get the practice going to cultivate some flowing conversations and exercises. Practice makes perfect.
The French lessons focus primarily on the spoken aspect of the language. So it becomes more accessible and spontaneous overtime. Learning can be an enjoyable activity, even when a deadline is to be met.
We will also work on writing skills based on your specific needs or targets, and focusing on grammar, vocabulary, tenses, punctuation, spelling, or any element of the language are the most relevant to you.
There are many ways we can work through learning French and during your first class we will discuss your current situation as a French student and what you would like to learn or where you would like to see some improvements. Step by step we will then bring you to your next level up, working at your pace, as creatively or as academically as you would like it to be.
A special note to the Leaving Cert students: start getting ready for your French exams early and you will get stronger by the week as you progress through your curriculum. The earlier the better, le plus tôt sera le mieux !

Perfect! Stéphanie is an excellent teacher
Perfect! Clear. Flexible. Pleasant. Professional.
Perfect! Stéphanie was such a wonderful tutor to work with! She has helped me to improve my French so much, and after our lessons I feel a lot more confident speaking French. She was always so patient, kind and encouraging, and was so helpful in letting me ask all of the questions I needed to in advance of my exams. I would recommend Stéphanie to anyone looking for a French tutor, I have appreciated her help and teaching so much! :)
Perfect! Stephanie is an excellent tutor. She is also very kind and patient. She really helped my son improve his French from the five lessons he had with her. Thank you.

Perfect! I contacted Stephanie few months ago to help my son Adam with his French leaving certificate exam in June. The lessons were on zoom, once a week, but the frequency increased as needed. Adam's French has improved substantially, both in verbal and writing form. Thank you Stephanie for your hard work and dedication, I know this has not been an easy journey.
Perfect! Stephanie is sincerely a warm and engaging person, she is an exceptional tutor who possesses a combination of knowledge, motivation, and passion for teaching, not only has an in-depth understanding of the subject matter, but they also have a gift for breaking it down into digestible pieces. Their interactive teaching style encourages engagement throughout the session, and their patience knows no bounds. I truly appreciate their commitment to going the extra mile by providing class transcripts and additional resources I'm grateful for their guidance and would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

Stéphanie is a fantastic teacher and has really helped me improve my French. Her lessons are very enjoyable and engaging, and she is both creative and patient. I've been taking lessons with Stéphanie for a few months now and have seen a big improvement in my speaking and grammar. I would highly recommend lessons with Stéphanie to anyone looking to learn French.
I had French lessons with Stephanie - mostly concentrating on spoken French. I found that Stephanie was an excellent tutor, very helpful and kind, even though my spoken French was really weak and it would take me ages to say a basic sentence, she'd was always so patient and gave corrections in a really, nice positive way. I would highly recommend Stephanie as a tutor. Rosemary Lafferty
Stephanie is a very pleasant French teacher, easily adapting to my needs. Thus we did mostly conversation: imaginary travelling to the South of France, going to the restaurant, booking a hotel room, and sometimes some corrections or explanations - just what I had been looking for. Merci beaucoup! Stephan
I know Stephanie as a flatmate when I was living in Ireland.View more recommendations
