About Daisy
I am currently a DPhil (PhD) student in Zoology at the University of Oxford, studying animal social behaviour. I studied Zoology, Statistics, and Philosophy in my undergraduate degree in New Zealand. I love teaching, and find it very fulfilling to engage with students, seeing them learning and understanding a topic. I hold an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, and have been awarded a teaching prize at Oxford. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

My aim in teaching is to help students build their confidence and understanding of foundational topics in biology and statistics. Over an hour-long lesson, we will revise topics that you feel weak in, focusing on the important content to know, and how to answer real-life exam questions. My goal is always to have you leave the lesson feeling prepared for exam questions, and with next steps to help you continue your revision process.
I have taught at both the university and secondary level for six years, across over 5 schools and universities, giving me experience with students at a wide range of abilities. As a teacher of Oxford tutorials, I am experienced in engaging and discussing topics with students, helping you to gain confidence in your abilities, not just rote-learn the content.
I teach for A-level, GCSE, and undergraduates, and am happy to also discuss Oxbridge admissions or do a personal statement session.
