About Stef

My mother was an amazing home cook of Bulgarian cuisine (if I had to describe this cuisine, I would say it was closest to a mixture of Turkish, Greek and French cuisines). As a result of watching her cook, and learning from her ... I developed a love for cooking and tasty food, I want to share that love of food with other people who would like to learn to cook with passion.

In a fun environment, I will show you and help you learn the basics of food preparation, food cooking techniques, how to understand and follow recipes, and how to improvise and create your own recipes.

You will learn about various Mediterranean herbs & spices, and how to select which herbs and spices go with which type of ingredients. You will also learn about the ingredients that form the basis of Mediterranean cooking (from the Bulgarian perspective).

You will learn to be able to taste a Mediterranean dish and pick the ingredients that were used to make it, all along while having fun doing it!

So come join me for an hour of fun and inspiration!

About the lesson

All lessons and training will be tailored to the level of cooking knowledge of the student. The training methods used will be mostly practical instructions (using in-person displays or webcams, and/or videos), but may also include written material, TV shows, web resources and other media.

First Lesson is FREE !!! (1 hour):

The first lesson is a set lesson on "How to make Fluffy Thin Crepes (Pancakes)"; and I am providing this lesson for FREE! This will allow me to get to know you better, to learn more about what you want to accomplish as a cook, and to help me establish rapport and a good student/tutor relationship with you.

As I don't want the first lesson to be too complicated; and also so that I have time to get to know you, your needs and wants - I prefer to set it ... hence, it will be on "How to make Fluffy Thin Crepes".

Session Preparations

Please ensure you have purchased the ingredients you will require for the cooking session prior to the session start time.

Note: We can also arrange to hold a Ingredients Shopping Session ($25 / hr) during which time you will learn more about where to buy your speciality Mediterranean ingredients in Brisbane, and how to select the freshest vegetables and fruits when shopping.

Full Refund: Please advise me of cancellation at least 48 hours PRIOR to the Booked Session Date if you want to receive a full refund.

No Refund: Cancellations made WITHIN 48 hours of the Booked Session Date will FORFEIT the total session fees, and no refund will be provided.
