I have been involved with the Deaf community for several years. I’ve taken the time to learn their language and culture. During that time it has added to my understanding and respect for Deaf people. I can assure the upmost respect and professionalism from me when it comes to students success.

I am knowledgeable about American Sign Language and its history and culture. The lessons I plan to teach will cover vocabulary, the difference between English and ASL grammar. Lessons will also include a specific section on fingerspelling and numbers as well as visual gestures (a very fun section). I also will be incorporating Deaf Community Events that students should attend to put what they are learning into practice.
