About the lesson

I work with students on several different aspects. It includes thorough practice, fundamentals, use of the speaker keys, tone with intonation, vibrato, use of the tuner and metronome, double tonguing, breathing, and articulation.
In addition, I assist students in selecting and modifying appropriate reeds.

My curriculum focuses on goal-based sequenced learning targets in all aspects of music performance, music literacy, and fine arts integration.

I recognize that each student is unique and that each student learns uniquely.
I will ensure that the student not only learns and progresses but also has a good time. After all, music is supposed to be fun.

Perfect! Yu Cheng a really nice teacher, she teach me well and she is very professional

Dr Yu-Cheng's response
As a flute player, Yiping has the basic knowledge of air support. She can easily follow my instruction to play the bassoon. She needs time and practice to get used to playing on the double reeds. She can soon play in the band with continuous practice and lessons.

Dr Yu-Cheng's response
Grey works hard, and he is inquisitive. As a beginner, he is progressing quite well. I believe that if he continues practicing with guidance, he will become a good player over time and can join a band as a bassoon player.
