About John

I’m a U.S. Navy veteran and a graduate of a digital film program with a strong background in video production and editing. I bring discipline, creativity, and professionalism to every session. I’ve worked on documentaries, short films, and commercial projects, and I love helping others learn by doing. Students can count on me to be patient, encouraging, and clear every step of the way.

About the lesson

I take a practical, real-world approach to teaching film—perfect for beginners or those looking to level up. Lessons are hands-on and project-based, covering editing, cinematography, and production. I tailor each session to the student’s goals and learning style. Whether you’re a high school student dreaming of film school or a hobbyist who wants to tell stories with impact, I’m here to guide you through every step—from camera basics to editing final cuts. My background as a veteran and film graduate gives me a disciplined yet creative edge that students appreciate.
