About Susan

I've been a guitar professor at a private, liberal arts college, a guitar studio owner, a concert presenter, an Artistic Director and pre-college and youth coach in guitar. Most students now have successful musical and teaching careers of their own.

About the lesson

My classes are informal, fun and structured around the needs and aspirations of the student. Reading is stressed, but we use tab and chord charts, as well. As fingerstyle guitar playing is so popular we learn all the ways this music is created from Andrew York to Andy McKee.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Susan.

Perfect! Susan is very kind and patient with her students. She is keenly aware of her student’s musical strengths and weaknesses, and quickly implements a curriculum that is challenging yet very enjoyable. I feel fortunate to have found her as an instructor.
