Experienced tutor in Violin in The Woodlands, Amy offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Both of my girls ages 9 and 6 take violin lessons at String Struck with Amy. Amy is good at keeping my girls challenged and helping them learn at their own pace. Amy expects the girls to practice between lessons. She keeps a good balance between holding the girls responsible while still bing encouraging to them. I would recommend Amy for anyone wanting to learn how to play the violin.

Ms Amy has done an outstanding job teach Valerie how to play the violin.
She is a great teacher, and is very dedicated and patient and we highly recommend her.

Ms. Amy is a great teacher and very friendly. There’s lots to learn from her.

Our daughter has been with Amy for 4 years now, our younger daughter just started half a year ago. Both girls love her! She is kind and firm at the same time, which I believe is necessary with any instrument. We really like that Amy’s stresses the fundamentals of technique on the instrument from the outset. She thoroughly explains why we hold the bow and violin a particular way to make us the best possible players. She is very patient with a beginner who is trying everything for the first time. We will definitely continue lessons with Amy. She keeps the kids engaged and they are progressing nicely! We highly recommend her to everyone!

She did an outstanding job with my daughter by helping her prepare for a performance. She was able to help correct some bad habits that she formed and gave her helpful suggestions as she continues to get ready for a family performance. She was extremely understanding and patient with my daughter who has not had any music instruction.

Amy Kraeger is a very good instructor. She treats her young students with respect. I really appreciate the notes she includes with the lesson, as they are ordered and well explained. As a non-musical parent, it helps greatly!

Our two young girls take lessons with Amy. She is a very effective instructor. She's strict where she needs to be and encouraging as needed. We are quite happy with our results. Our oldest is able to play Minuet 1, 2 and 3 fluidly which is more than I expected at this point.

My daughter has been with Amy for 2.5 years now, my younger daughter just started half a year ago. Both girls love her! She is kind and firm at the same time, which I believe is necessary with any instrument. She keeps the kids engaged and they are progressing nicely! I highly recommend her to everyone!

I have taken viola lessons from Amy for a year now. I am adult student who stopped playing for about 10 years, deciding to shake off the cobwebs and be a welcomed stress reliever from my usual work. Amy's solid foundation of technique has made it easy to get back to playing the solo pieces I played in college. I also believe I'm playing them better as she's taught me how to best practice at home, a valuable skill for any player! I would recommend Amy to anyone looking for a private lesson teacher, for any age!

My daughter takes beginning violin with Amy, and she loves it! She is always eager to go to lessons and seems to be learning well. Amy is very organized and has a very good system of instruction.
