About Keri

I grew up speaking NZSL as a native language. I speak it almost every day and work on my skills via online courses.
I have held NZSL sessions for disabled people, teaching them beginner sign.
Teaching makes me so happy, and the connections that result out of it give my life fulfillment.

Outside of teaching I’m an avid hiker, surfer, and musician. To me, having fun while learning is a priority!

About the lesson

I keep lessons relaxed and fun.
Let me know setting you’d like to learn, whether it’s for interacting in business, connecting with deaf or hard of hearing friends and family, or to brush up on this 3rd NZ official language.

Keri is a good friend of mine.
Not long after we met I had brought up wanting to learn sign language and to my luck Keri is fluent and was enthusiastic about helping me out.
She has a rich history with sign language and her love of the language was visible when she taught.
Her honesty mattered a lot to me as sign language can be tricky if someone doesn’t tell you where you’re going wrong. She’s happy to point out where you could improve in a helpful manner that lets you understand where you went wrong.
She’s a fun person and she brings an exciting energy to learning. I would definitely recommend Keri!
