About Keir

After a career spanning two decades as first a professional chef and then sommelier/wine director in top NYC restaurants, I launched Pair Wine Tours in 2014. Pair Wine Tours is an educational walking NYC restaurant wine tour. Since launching, I’ve taught thousands of fellow wine lovers everything they’ve ever wanted to know about wine including; food and wine pairing, blind tasting techniques, proper serving temperatures and glassware, how to read wine labels, which regions are best for quality and price and more!

About the lesson

I believe in that wine is meant to be accessible.
It’s drunk by most of the world, so learning about it shouldn’t require a degree in chemistry.
So while my class is meant to be as comprehensive as possible for the new wine lover, I specialize in teaching people everything that they wanted to know about wine without being too heavy on technical jargon, in plain English.
