About Matisse

No question is a dumb question. I will help with finding books and other resources to help you improve. This is a judgment-free area. I'm here to help you in any way, shape, or form. If you need to meet virtually or in person, just let me know.

About the lesson

The five-week ASL unit teaches the alphabet, numbers, greetings, everyday vocabulary, and basic grammar. Students practice fingerspelling, conversational phrases, WH-questions, and Topic–Comment sentences. Lessons include interactive activities, cultural awareness, student-choice vocabulary, and real-world conversations to build beginner ASL fluency. Will be adding on classes as we go along. I’m starting with Beginner classes, then moving on to intermediate classes and then advanced classes. It will be more than five weeks if need be.

Matisse is a wonderful and trustworthy teacher because she has great patience even when things get super complicated. She listens first than responds in a gentle tone and accommodates as necessary. I believe that Matisse has a stellar performance when handling with kids and will be at her peak performance.

Matisse is a trustworthy teacher because she shows every day that she truly cares about the people around her. She’s patient, dependable, and always honest, even when it’s not the easiest thing to be. You can count on her to follow through, to listen without judgment, and to give her best no matter what. The way she supports her students and the people she works with makes it clear that she leads with integrity and genuine heart, and that’s why trusting her comes naturally.

Matisse is an amazing and overall great teacher. She is patient, empathetic, and creative, which helps students feel supported, inspired, and engaged. She also exhibits excellent communication skills, treats all students fairly, and fosters a positive and adaptable learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions and grow. I recommend Matisse would be a great sign language teacher/tutor for children / adults who are in need to learn.
