I learned sign language growing up with deaf parents and have worked as an interpreter, tutor, instructor, classroom assistant, and job coach with hearing and deaf students individually as well as small groups for many years, online and in person.

I demonstrate basic signs then ask students to practice. My lessons are based on an outline grouping signs in different categories while allowing for flexibility guided by student interest and questions. As individuals become more familiar with signs, there is less presentation by me and more interaction between me and students.
