About Shannon
I’m a Biology Graduate with a strong interest in Microbiology and Chemistry. I have research contributions from plant biology to analytical chemistry which allows me to cover a broad syllabus. I have been fortunate to win awards for my research and studies while juggling a job. From this experience I have learnt how to maximise my time, learning from the basics upwards. My aim is for students to gain confidence when understanding key concepts and offer support for those wanting to work in healthcare settings. I also have a full DBS background check.

I tutor the triple sciences at GCSE level and A/AS - Level Biology. My teaching method is interactive and focuses on breaking down complex concepts across the sciences. This will be used in combination with previous paper questions so that you feel confident answering on a topic from a variety of angles. Sessions will always be prepared but are adaptable to areas wanting more focus.

Shannon has a strong academic background in Biological Sciences, which is supported by her passion and enthusiasm for science and learning. Shannon also has excellent interpersonal skills, meaning she will be able to communicate the valuable lessons to students in a kind and academically fostering manner, to develop students to the best of their ability. Students will be fortunate to have Shannon tutor them.
Shannon is thorough and patient when it comes to teaching I would recommend her as a tutor. She helped my niece when doing her GCSEs and it improved her confidence a lot.
Brilliant tutor. Helped me pass my biology GCSE with ease! Makes it very easy to understand
