I Graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelors of Science in Natural Resources Environmental Management. I have also completed online teacher certification for k-6.
I enjoy teaching in a collaborative model. I also chunk readings, as well as often use jigsaws in my classes. I understand that the language of science is often difficult to comprehend therefore I spend the time to dissect any area that is being studied.
Class model when introducing a topic;

1. Introduce topic
2. Teach topic
3. Ask questions about topic
4. Students involvement (structures)
5. Student demonstrates knowledge of what was learned.

I like to bring energy to my lessons to keep and maintain student engagement.
